Response to placebo

Any process that results in a change in state or activity of a cell or an organism (in terms of movement, secretion, enzyme production, gene expression, etc.) as a result of a placebo stimulus. A placebo is a substance or treatment with no active therapeutic effect and which may be given to a person in order to deceive the recipient into thinking that it is an active treatment.
