Discuss Alterations in the intestinal microbiome and mental health status of workers in an underground tunnel environment
Documentation of my curation:
• The study design was initially set as Cross-sectional observational, not case control. However, upon further review, I changed to Prospective cohort because the study involves following a group of individuals over time to observe the outcomes in the exposed status (ES) of the same individuals (from the baseline status (BS)).
• It was stated in Methods (page 7) that there was antibiotics exclusion, however, the antibiotics exclusion criteria didn't have a clearly stated timeline.
As a result, the antibiotics exclusion wasn't documented in the curation.
• One of the increased bacteria in the Exposed status (ES) group – Clostridium_sensu_stricto was resolved to be Clostridium, so this was effected in Signature 1 of Experiment 1 in the curation.
• In the same vein, one of the increased bacteria in the Exposed status (ES) group – Clostridiaceae_1 wasn't available in the Taxa list and also NCBI. So it was classifed as appeared; Clostridiaceae_1 in Signature 1 of Experiment 1 in the curation.
