Discuss Overcoming donor variability and risks associated with fecal microbiota transplants through bacteriophage-mediated treatments
The “Unknown” refers to contigs that may be viruses but lack specific data records confirming their viral origin.
These are curated as "Unidentified viruses" in the study (Experiments 4 and 5, ) as it is the best fit found in NCBI. Aleru Divine (talk) 20:53, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
Please note that the sample sizes provided in Figures 5A and 6A do not match the numbers reported in the abstract and results. The results state that the experiment began with 48 mice, with 46 continuing in the second part of the study. Of these, 22 were euthanized (FVT-SDT 0, FVT-UnT 2, FVT-ChP 3, FMT 5, FVT-PyT 7, saline 5), and 24 survived (FVT-SDT 8/8, FVT-UnT 5/7, FVT-ChP 5/8, FVT-PyT 1/8, FMT 3/8, saline 2/8). This adds up to 46.
However, the figures indicate inconsistencies: one lists 23 euthanized and 24 surviving, while another shows 21 and 24, none of which sum to 46. Figure 4 also lists surviving mice but totals 25.
For this study, we curated the sample sizes from Figures 5A and 6A.
