Hi, my name is Cateline. I am an Industrial Biotechnology graduate from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where I gained a strong foundation in biotechnology. I’ve worked on various research projects, from characterizing bacteria in schools to visualizing data on disease outbreaks. These experiences have sparked my interest in how genetics can help us understand diseases better. Beyond research, I’m really passionate about science communication. As part of the Phage Hunters Training and Research Program, I’ve been involved in advocating for the use of bacteriophages in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). I'm usually involved create educational content and reviewing scientific literature to help make complex topics on phages more understandable to the lay man. I’m always looking to learn more and improve my skills.
